Professora Dinguêra

Picture

Mandingueira (Carla Locatelli) is from São Paulo, Brasil and has been dedicating to capoeira since 2005.
In her classes she explores movement & musicality as one. Her classes' warm ups are mobility and strengthening exercises that explores joints mobility, space creation and getting into the creative flow.
Mandingueira always explores musicality and how it connects to body and soul, and she honors the Afro-Indigenous roots of Capoeira by respecting important traditions and continuing to study history, social justice and cultural resistance.

Instrutor Batata

Picture
Batata (Emerson Andrews) has been studying and playing capoeira since 2007. Over the years he has had the privilege to travel to Brazil and learn from amazing capoeira masters.
He is eager to share the art form of capoeira so that everyone who is interested can grab a berimbau, move their bodies, and sing along while we express ourselves. He believes that we all have different bodies and that everyone should learn how to play capoeira for themselves and with each other.

Instrutor Sapo

Sapo (Brandon Roskelley) started capoeira in 2006, initially drawn to the creative and acrobatic movement. After graduating from massage therapy school in 2013, he has been interested in how to move in a healthy way that supports joint wellness as well as creative expression.
He aims to teach in a way that supports the integrity of the body, one's own personal expression, and the expression of others.

Monitor Caracol

Picture
Caracol (Tyson Hake) is a Salt Lake City native and has been training various martial arts all his life. He started training capoeira in 2015.
Drawn to the drums and acrobatic movements, he became hooked and never stopped. He hopes to continue growing with the Bora Vadiar collective and share his knowledge with anyone eager to learn.
