COLETIVO BORA VADIAR

Our mission is to create and sustain safe, inclusive spaces for the practice and education of Capoeira, grounded in accessibility, mobility, musicality, and deep respect for its roots, traditions, and cultural lineage. We are dedicated to fostering vibrant, connected communities through the shared experience of Capoeira, preserving its rich heritage while empowering individuals - particularly those from marginalized communities - to learn, grow, and express themselves through this dynamic Afro-Indigenous art form.
Our Coletivo is led by Professora Dinguêra, from São Paulo, Brasil, an advocate against all forms of social oppression and committed to teaching Capoeira with responsibility, honoring its Black roots, ancestral knowledge, and histories of resistance. We also prioritize the study of the Portuguese language, the ongoing examination of social injustices, and the use of Capoeira as a tool for both personal and collective transformation.
We affirm the responsibility of each member to critically examine their own identities and privileges, to actively challenge whiteness, imperialism, and systems of dominance within Capoeira and beyond, and to work toward equity both within our communities and in the wider world.
By honoring the intersectionality of our identities, we strive to create equitable opportunities for all to experience the power of Capoeira while actively advocating for justice, dignity, and inclusion.
